In Love with the Devil
I just bought myself a new Dirt Devil vacuum with a HEPA filter. It is the most wonderful purchase of the year after my laptop. It is fabulous!
I developed allergies when I moved here because of the dust, pollution (our house overlooks the 280 freeway), and my brother’s dog. Whenever I’m at home my eyes are itchy and I sneeze non-stop, so after 14 months, I got fed up and decided to splurge on a fancy vaccuum.
Alright, I’ve only had it for 4 hours so I really don’t know if it will make a difference to my allergies, but holy smokes can that baby clean!
Its worth every hard-earned penny on just cleaning my carpet alone. If it does help my allergies that’ll be the icing on the cake.
Yes, its a little scary that I get more excited about buying vaccuum cleaners and Lysol wipes than I do about clothes and shoes and make-up, but what can I do, I’m OC and I love my vaccuum.
Gratitude
10 Random Things I’m Thankful for This Thanksgiving:
1. The Peninsula Library System: The latest DVDs for rent - free
2. Shopping websites that offer free shipping. Its hassle-free and you save on gas.
3. Cleaning aids like Scrubbing Bubbles, Lysol Wipes, & Swiffer dusters. They’re every OC person’s best friend
4. The perks that come with my job: Ride the train for free, get discounts at Apple & Dell, free Yoga & Pilates classes, etc.
5. Condiments in squeeze bottles. Never again will I curse the catsup bottle or get grape jelly on my jammies.
6. Heaters with remote controls. No need to get out of bed to turn the heat on.
7. iPods: You can take your entire music collection with you wherever you go AND the earphones discourage strangers from starting conversations with you on the train
8.Caviar. From the time I stole the bottle from under the Christmas tree when I was 5 until now, Its been nothing but love.
9.Padding glue: Its just great.
10. The opportunity to go home for Christmas & spend 3 weeks with my family.
Livid Living Without My Lite!
This is an absolute atrocity!
How can they replace K-Lite with some hokey senti-song station? K-Lite is the only, and I mean ONLY, decent radio station on the air. And this includes Northern California radio stations too. The stations (and DJs) here are absolute crud! I’m forced to listen to K-Lite via live audio streaming on the net because there are no decent stations here at all. The Litecast was my salvation but now they’re going to turn the Lite off permanently and leave me in the dark.
And to add insult to injury, I hear they’re signing off for good on December 1. That means they’re leaving all the K-Lite employees jobless just before Christmas!
Bloody heartless bastards!
Its ironic that the new station will be called "HeartFM". Isn’t that ghastly? As if this world doesn’t already have too many saccharine-song stations. Its revolting. <barf

So much for having a happy Thanksgiving. I am positively LIVID! ![]()
