Greetings From the Fog
I sent my friends an e-mail with the subject: Greetings from San Francisco, but i realized that that isn’t really accurate cause though my house is on the boarder of South San Francisco and Daly City, its technically on the Daly City side so my subject should have been: Greetings from Daly City. Thing is, the grocery and church and all the other places we go to are in South San Francisco so I tend to use the 2 interchangably. But for this log i decided to just be vague and greet you from the fog cause the silly stuff covers the whole area anyway.
I’ve been here exactly 3 weeks to the day. I’ve found a job at the Office of Sponsored Research at Stanford University. The work is fun (so far) and the people are (mostly) nice though the commute is a pain. I take the train for 45 minutes then a shuttle for 15. Plus i spend around $10 a day for public transport. Doesn’t that suck? At least we don’t have uniforms and we’ve got flexi-time. Whee!
I’ve also discovered that I love cranberries! In addition to my Cranberry scented lotion and bath gel, i’ve also stocked my fridge with cranberry juice and dried cranberries (to snack on) and I’ve even discovered cranberry scented air-freshener. The stuff that I have that aren’t cranberry scented/flavored are cinnamon (my second love). I’m addicted to my cinnamon toothpaste and mouthwash and breath mints. Lovely things start with the letter "c": cranberries, cinnamon, care bears . . . but that’s another post.
